Mary Ellen Gill, Esq.
Mary Ellen Gill practices within the firm’s United States District Court department, focusing on Social Security disability and Supplemental Security Income appeals before the federal courts.
Mary is a native of upstate New York, originally from the Binghamton area, and has made Rochester her home. She joined the firm in 2017 after a clerkship with United States District Judge Hon. Michael A. Telesca in the Western District of New York, Rochester.
Prior to that, she spent three years at the law firm of Lanier Ford Shaver & Payne, P.C., in Huntsville, Alabama, practicing primarily in the areas of federal employment discrimination law and education law. From 2010 through 2012, she was an Assistant District Attorney at the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office in Rochester, serving as ADA in Greece, Chili, Honeoye Falls, as well as in Rochester City Court.
She has also held judicial clerkships with the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Fourth Judicial Department, and with United States District Judge Hon. Thomas J. McAvoy in the Northern District of New York, Binghamton. Mary is happy to put her experience and skillset to work representing claimants in securing much-needed Social Security benefits.
